    Cream Sweet Peas

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 quarts fresh sweet peas, shelled
    • 8 green onions, tops only, chopped
    • 12 to 16 new potatoes
    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • 1 cup milk
    • Salt and pepper


    Instructions


    1. Place shelled peas in a medium saucepan and add enough water to cover. Cook on medium heat until peas are almost done (they will turn from dark to light green).

    2. Add onion tops, potatoes, butter and milk, and season to taste with salt and pepper. (If potatoes are small, throw them in whole; if they're large, cut them into quarters.) Cook vegetables over medium-high heat until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.

      Serves 4
