Green Beans with Swiss Cheese Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp each sugar and salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp grated onion
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1-1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 2 lbs. whole green beans (can use fresh or canned)
- Breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- In a small pan, melt butter and blend in flour, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until bubbly. Blend in milk. Remove from heat and stir in onion and sour cream.
- Combine sauce with green beans and cheese. Turn into buttered 1-1/2-quart casserole. Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and spread on top.
- Bake at 400 degrees (F) for 20 minutes.
