    Grilled Country Ham-Wrapped Asparagus

    Recipe Introduction

    "This asparagus dish will impress even the fanciest dinner party guests."

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 6 thin slices country ham
    â—¦ 30 to 40 asparagus spears, trimmed
    â—¦ 2 tablespoons olive oil
    â—¦ 12 chives (optional)

    Recipe

    Cut each slice ham in half lengthwise to make 12 pieces. Wrap each piece of ham tightly around 3 to 4 asparagus spears. Place seam side down on an oiled grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

    Grill 6 to 8 minutes, turning frequently.
    Remove from grill and, for a little extra flair, secure with a chive ribbon around the ham-wrapped asparagus bundle.

    Makes 12 asparagus bundles




    • Tip:
    You can also recreate these bundles with green beans, as well as swapping country ham for bacon or prosciutto.
