Steamed Green Beans

List of Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lbs. green beans
- 1 red pepper
- Green onions
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Wash and trim the beans. Slice the pepper into long strips. Gather approximately 10 beans of similar size and one slice of red pepper into a bunch. Tie them together using strips of green onion tops. Repeat this procedure until all the beans are "packaged."
- Place the green bean bundles in a steamer basket and place over boiling water. Steam the beans approximately 20 minutes or until tender but not soft.
- Place the cooked bean packages on a serving platter and drizzle with the butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
