    Tenderfoot Beans

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 slices bacon
    • 2 onions, sliced
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 tsp dry mustard
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
    • 2 (15-oz.) cans baked beans
    • 1 (15-oz.) can navy beans
    • 1 (15-oz.) can kidney beans
    • 1 (15-oz.) can green lima beans


    Instructions


    1. Fry the bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside.

    2. Separate onion slices into rings and cook in bacon drippings until they begin to soften. Stir in brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

    3. Pour the baked beans (including sauce) into a casserole. Add the onion mixture. Drain the cans of navy, kidney and lima beans and mix in, along with the crumbled bacon.

      Bake in a 350-degree (F) oven for one hour.

      Serves 12 to 14
