Strawberry Upside Down Shortcake

1 cup mini marshmallows2- 10 ounce packages sliced strawberries in syrup1 package strawberry jello (3 ounces)2 1/4 cup flour1 1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup shortening3 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup milk1 teaspoon vanilla3 eggsRecipe
Generously grease 9 x 13 pan; sprinkle marshmallows evenly over the bottom of the pan. Throughly combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry jello; set aside. In large bowl combine remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows. Then spoon strawberry mixture even over batter. Bake 350 for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted. serve warm or cool with ice cream or whipped topping. Check often right before cooking time is finished. The cake will totally turn itself upside down by itself in the pan. The strawberries will be on the bottom, the cake part in the middle and the marshmallow on top.
