    Bon Bon Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup butter, softened3/4 cup powdered sugar1 tablespoon vanilla1 1/2 cup flour1/8 teaspoon saltdates, nuts, chocolate kisses, marachino cherriesICING:1 cup powdered sugar2 1/2 tablespoons half and half (milk will work)1 teaspoon vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350. MIx butter sugar and vanilla together until throughly mixed. Work in flour and salt until dough holds together. If needed, add 1 to 2 tablepoons half and half if dough is too dry. Mold 1 tablespoon dough around dates, nut, chocolate or cherry. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until set. Not browned. Cool.ICING:Mix powdered sugar, half and half, and vanilla together until smooth. May tint with food coloring. Dip each cookie into icing and decorate with coconut or colored sugars.
