    Chocolate Chip Cloud Cookies

    Nonstick cooking spray
    Flour for dusting
    3 egg whites
    1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    6 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 250 F.

    Line two cookies sheets with foil; coat foil with nonstick cooking spray, then lightly dust with flour.

    In a large bowl, beat egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form.

    Mix in sugar one tablespoon at a time. Sift cocoa powder over mixture.

    With a rubber spatula, fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

    Drop by half-teaspoonfuls onto prepared foil. Cover cookies with chocolate shavings before baking (optional).

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until crisp.

    Let cool on cookie sheets for 2 minutes. Then transfer carefully to wire racks to cool completely
