    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    1 cup warm water

    Recipe



    Potato Filling:

    Mash about 3 pounds potatoes and add salt, cheese and butter (can also add diced onion). Let cool. Roll into half tablespoon size for filling.

    MIX ingredients well and let set awhile.
    ROLL dough out thin on a board, and cut with a 3 inch round cutter.

    FILL with half tablespoon of filling.

    FOLD dough over and pinch ends shut (dip your finger in water and run finger over half the dough before folding - it helps it stick together better.)

    DROP into boiling water to cook. The pierogi will float when it is done.

    DRAIN pieorgies. They can be frozen at this point.

    SAUTE chopped onions in butter. Add pieorgies and cook till done.
