Green String Bean Pickle
3 quarts string beans
2 tablespoon salt
3 cups sugar
3 pints vinegar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
2 teaspoons turmeric
1/4 cup flour
Recipe
Cut beans into 1 inch pieces. Cook in salt water until tender, but not soft. Combine sugar, salt, flour and spices with the vinegar. Cook together until slightly thickened. Add beans and bring to a boil. Put into hot jars and seal.
