Rutabaga and Apples
List of Ingredients
3 cups pared rutabage slices
salt
1 medium apple, sliced thin
6 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
Recipe
Cook rutabaga slices in boiling salt water until tender.
Drain.
Place 1/2 of the rutabage in a greased 1 qt casserole dish, Top with 1/2 of the apple slices.
Sprinkle this layer with 1/2 of the brown sugar and 1/2 of the butter.
Repeat using the rest of the ingredients.
Bake, covered in a 350* oven for 30 minutes.
Serves 4-6
