6 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbs. water or apple juice
l cup raisins
1 cup chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup each candy-coated chocolate pieces and unsalted peanuts
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 300º F. Spray 2 cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. In Thatsa™ Bowl, combine oats, wheat germ and cinnamon.
2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter, honey and water. Microwave on High l-2 minutes until softened; stir, then stir mixture into oat mixture and mix well.
3. Spread granola in single layer on cookie sheets. Bake about 20 minutes, stirring a few times during baking, until golden brown. Cool, then remove from cookie sheets to same Thatsa™ Bowl. Stir in raisins, apricots, candy-coated chocolate pieces and nuts. Spoon into 2-quart Modular Mates container.
Note: Any combination of dried fruits, nuts or coconut can be used; or try substituting candy-coated peanut butter pieces for the chocolate pieces.
