Crockpot Swiss Steak

List of Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs round steak, trimmed of fat, cut in serving pieces
1 lb bag baby carrots
1-1/2 lbs new potatoes, scrubbed, cut into quarters
1 med onion, sliced
1 can low-sodium, fat-free beef broth
1 can no salt added diced tomatoes
Italian seasoning
garlic powder
Nu-Salt Seasoned Salt**

Place potatoes, then carrots into sprayed** crockpot. In pan over high heat, brown meat well on both sides. Place on top of carrots. Saute onions in any pan drippings for 1 minute, then add some of the beef broth to deglaze the pan. Pour this over the meat. In a bowl, mix the remaining broth and the tomatoes. Add seasonings as desired. Pour over all. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 9 hours or high for 6 hours.

I can't find the low-sodium beef broth here so I made my own from the pan drippings...I used venison so there wasn't very much. I increased my black pepper.
