    • 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
    • 1/4 tsp peppermint or almond extract
    • 3 cups powedered sugar
    • colored sugar, optional


    Instructions





    1. Combine cream cheese and extract in a small bowl.
    2. Beat in 1 &1/2 cups sugar.
    3. Knead in the remaining sugar until smooth.
    4. Shape into 1/2 inch balls. Roll in colored sugar if desired.
    5. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with a fork. Let stand for 1 hour to harden.
    6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
