    Pretzel Salad

    Recipe Introduction


    This is always a hit!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 sm boxes strawberry Jell-o
    • 2 sm boxes frozen strawberries
    • 2 2/3 cup crushed pretzels
    • 1/2 tsp Knox gelatin
    • 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
    • 3 Tbsp sugar
    • 8 oz pkg cream cheese
    • 1 sm carton Cool Whip
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3 cups water, boiled


    Instructions


    1. Dissolve two boxes strawberry Jell-o in 3 cups boiling water. Add 2 boxes of strawberries. Let thicken in fridge during other steps.

    2. Mix and spread into 9x13 pan-crushed pretzels (save 3 Tbsp for topping), Knox gelatin, melted butter and 3 Tbsp sugar. Baked at 400 for 10 min or until brown. Cool.

    3. Mix together cream cheese (at room temp), Cool Whip, and 1 cup sugar. Spread over baked, cooled crust.

    4. Pour Jell-o/Strawberry mixture over top. Chill until firm.

    5. Garnish with remaining crushed pretzels.
