    3 T shortening
    3 sq unsweetened chocolate
    5 T scalding hot milk
    2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
    1/4 t. salt
    1 t. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts, optional

    Recipe



    Melt together over hot water, shortening and chocolate. Pour milk over confectioners sugar and salt, stir until completely dissolved. Add vanilla and the chocolate mixture. It will be thin. Beat while hot until it thickens enough to spread and becomes smooth and glossy. Stir in nuts if desired.
