    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 sq unsweetened chocolate
    1/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 t. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 t. soda
    1/2 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. chopped nuts
    3/4 c. uncooked oatmeal

    Frosting:
    1 T butter, melted
    1 sq unsweetened chocolate
    3 T milk
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Beat shortening and sugar until creamy.
    Add eggs, melted chocolate, milk and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Sift flower, soda, baking powder, and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture, blending well.
    stir in nuts and oatmeal.
    Chill 1 hr.
    Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet 2 in. apart.
    Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 12 mins.
    Remove from sheets and frost.

    Frosting:
    Melt butter and chocolate.
    Blend in milk and powdered sugar.
