Rhubarb Roll

List of Ingredients
Filling:
3 c rhubarb cut fine
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
2 heaping Tbls soft butter
Syrup:
2 c sugar
2 c water
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cream of tarter
2 tsp sugar
1/2 c shortening
2/3 c milk
Recipe
Mix rhubarb, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter and set aside.
Boil sugar and water for several minutes.
Place half of syrup in long baking plate.
Mix remaining ingredients to make biscuit dough.
Roll as for jelly roll.
Spread rhubarb mixture over.
Roll up and slice into two inch slices.
Lay into syrup.
Put other half of syrup over them.
Bake at 375 for 30 minutes
