    Rhubarb Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cup rhubarb, cut fine
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
    • 2 heaping Tbls soft butter
    • 2 cup sugar
    • 2 cup water
    • 2 cup flour
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 4 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 2/3 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. For filling: mix rhubarb, cinnamon, nutmeg and soft butter. Set aside
    2. For syrup: Mix sugar and water. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Place half of syrup in 9x13 pan
    3. For biscuits: Mix flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tarter, 2tsp sugar, shortening and milk.
    4. Roll as for a jelly roll.
    5. Spread rhubarb mixture on dough.
    6. Roll up and slice into 2 inch slices.
    7. Lay in syrup mixture
    8. Pour remaining syrup mixture over rolls.
    9. Bake 375 degree for 30 minutes
