Garlic Parmesan Smashed Potatoes

8 potatoes cut in 1 inch pieces
◦2 cloves garlic
◦1/4 c. oleo
◦1/2 tsp. salt
◦1/4 tsp pepper
◦1 c. water
◦1/2 c. half - half
◦3/4 c. parmesan
◦1/4 c. fresh basil
Recipe
Place potatoes in slow cooker. Stir in garlic, butter, salt, pepper and water. Cover cook on high 4 - 6 hours. Do not drain. Mash potatoes slightly. Add half-half, cheese. Continue mashing until desired consistency. Stir basil in just before serving.
