    List of Ingredients




    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 (16-oz.) can fruit cocktail, undrained

    For topping:
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    1/2 cup flaked coconut

    For sauce:
    1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
    1 cup granulated sugar
    5 oz. (1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons) evaporated milk

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 9"x13" pan.
    Prepare batter:
    Sift flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together into a bowl. Stir in egg, vanilla and undrained fruit. Pour into pan.
    Prepare topping: Mix together brown sugar, nuts, and coconut. Sprinkle over batter. bake for 30 minutes.
    Just before cake is done, begin making sauce: Combine margarine, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture boils. Let boil for 2 minutes. When cake is done, pour hot sauce over cake. Cool and serve.
