My latest kick is making smoothies at home. They are oh soooo good and good for you. Very easy to make, you just need a good blender.... Great for lunch or a mid-day snack... Can't feel guilty about eating this!
List of Ingredients
3/4 c Pineapple Juice
1 T. Honey (optional)
1 c. peeled & diced Kiwi
1 c. diced Pineapple
1 c. sliced Banana
1 c. low fat Vanilla Yogart (optional)
1 c. Ice chips
Recipe
Prepare fruit ahead of time. I now have a freezer full of fruit! Clean, peal and cut fruit into small chunks. Seperate fruite into 1 c. portions and put into zip lock bags and freeze.
When you are ready to make your smoothie, take fruit out of freezer and let stand 18 min. first.
Place juice, kiwi, pineapple, banana, honey, yogart and ice (in that order) into blender. Mix on low to med. speed until mixture is blended. Continue mixing, gradually increasing speed, until the mixture is smooth. You will have to stop blending and scrap sides of blender and stir mixture several times, then start blending again. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
