    Hickory BBQ Sauce

    1 tablespoon butter or margarine
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 cup ketchup
    1/2 cup vinegar (cider or flavored)
    1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    2 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

    Recipe



    Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; add onion and cook until tender, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
    If using with baby back rib recipe and using a smoker, pour mixture into an 8 or 9 inch loaf pan and cover with foil, cutting several one inch slits. Put into smoker with ribs and smoke for three hours.
    If not using a smoker, heat for 30 minutes on low heat and enjoy!
