    COOKINKAT'S SHRIMP CREOLE

    I've been making this recipe for years. We always love it!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 yellow or green bell pepper
    • 1 can stewed tomatoes
    • 1 tbsp. chopped garlic
    • Mr. Tony Chachere's creole seasoning to taste
    • about 1 tbsp or less sugar


    Instructions


    1. Saute onions bell pepper and garlic in small amount of olive oil over med. low heat about 8 minutes.
    2. Add canned tomatoes with liquid. Add sugar and some creole seasoning.
    3. Simmer about 30 minutes.
    4. Add peeled shrimp and cook about 5 minutes till shrimp are pink. Adjust seasoning.
    5. This is best is allowed to sit off the fire for a bit to let the flavors really mingle.
    6. Serve over hot cooked rice!
