Dick Van Dyke's Chili Mac

List of Ingredients
1 pound lean ground meat
2 cans kidney beans
1 basil leaf
chili peppers
salt and pepper 2 large cans Italian style tomatoes
1 chopped onion
pinch oregano
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 to 3/4 package macaroni
Recipe
Cook the macaroni and set aside. Brown the meat and onions in a little oil or butter in a large skillet. Add the tomatoes, kidney beans and 1 can of water. Simmer until reasonably thick soup, then add macaroni and season with salt and pepper. Add chili peppers as desired and the teaspoon of sugar. Serves 4 to 6.
