Prebaked 9-inch quiche pastry shell
6-8 slices streaky bacon
1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt Dash of Tabasco
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup light cream
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper Recipe
Fry the bacon until it is cooked through but not crisp. Place the slices in the shell, add the cheese and the nutmeg. Beat the eggs lightly and blend in the cream. Season with salt, pepper and Tobasco and pour over the bacon and cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes and serve hot. Serves 4 to 6.
