Robert Stack's Barbecued Ribs Sauce

List of Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt 1 sliced onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup catsup
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon horseradish mustard
1/2 teaspoon pepper Recipe
Melt butter. Add onion and saute' until browned. Add remaining ingredients and cook about 20 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups - enough for 3 pounds of meat.
To use on ribs, give the ribs a thorough brushing with the sauce. Place the meaty side down on the grill and broil slowly. When brown, turn. Brush again with the sauce. Continue to broil slowly until well done.
Sauce can also be used on steaks and hamburgers.
