    Sally Fields Peanut Butter-Honey Granola

    boiling hot water
    1 cup raisins
    2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
    2/3 cup honey 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    4 cups rolled oats
    1/2 cup dried figs, snipped
    1 cup peanuts

    Pour boiling water over raisins to plump them. Let stand 10 minutes, drain. In a saucepan, combine peanut butter, honey and cinnamon. Heat thoroughly. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.

    Scatter oats in bottom of a large baking dish or shallow roasting pan. Pour warm peanut mixture over oats, stirring gently to coat oats. Spread mixture in your hand.

    Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Turn off oven. Stir in raisins, figs and nuts. Let mixture dry in oven for 1 1/2 hours.

    Store in a cool, dry place. Serve as a snack or over ice cream.
