    Cheese Stuffed Meatloaf

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
    3 slices fresh bread, cubed
    1 cup milk
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper


    Stuffing:
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped green pepper
    1/4 cup chopped celery
    2 tbsp. lemon juice
    1 egg, beaten
    1 cup medium cheddar cheese (shredded)
    3 slices fresh bread crumbs

    Recipe

    Meat: Mix ground beef, with rest of ingredients. set aside.

    Stuffing: Saute onions, peppers, celery and lemon juice. Add beaten egg and blend. Stir in cheese and crumbs.

    To assemble: Pat 1/2 of the meat mixture in bottom of large baking dish. mould cheese filling over meat, leaving 1 inch at edges. Spread remaining meat mixture and seal edges. Brush with worcestershire sauce. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 10-15 minutes, before serving.
