2 cups sugar
1/2 cup (1 cube) butter
1-2/3 cups evaporated milk
1-3/4 cups light corn syrup
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 cup finely chopped nutsRecipe
In a 3 quart sauce pan, combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over high heat stirring constantly. Lower heat to medium and stir until firm ball stage (244 to 248 degrees). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour quickly into a buttered 9 inch pan. Cool and cut into 1 inch squares. Makes about 80 pieces.
