    This recipe dates back to 1941 and they are delicious.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 1/3 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    2 Baby Ruth candy bars, cut in very small chunks

    Recipe



    In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the egg. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen average sized cookies.
