Crackled Sugar Cookies

List of Ingredients





2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine, lard or shortening
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract


Recipe




Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg yolks and cream some more.

Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add flavoring and roll into small balls. Roll in sugar. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F for 20 minutes.
