List of Ingredients




1 c. shortening
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. syrup or honey
3 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
3 c. oatmeal
2 c. sugar


Recipe



Cream shortening with syrup, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to shortening mixture. Add oatmeal, mixing well.

Roll into small balls and drop onto greased cookie sheet. Do not flatten, as they spread themselves with a crinkled look. These cookies vurn very easily so they need to be watched closely. Make sure oven is not too hot. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
