Death by Chocolate Cookie

2 pkg (16 squares) Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup flour
¼ tsp baking powder
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)

Recipe



Heat oven to 350°. Coarsley chop 8 squares of chocolate – set aside. Microwave remaining 8 squares chocolate in large bowl in high for 1-2 minutes. Stir until melted and smooth. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts. Drop by ¼ cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and soft to the touch. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
