1 stick margarine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 pound dates, chopped fine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup coconutRecipe
In electric fry pan on "warm", melt and mix margarine with brown sugar, dates, vanilla, salt and well beaten egg. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring often. Turn control to "off"; add Rice Krispies and nuts. Let cool until mixture can be shaped with buttered hands into small balls. Roll in coconut or confectioners' sugar. Place on waxed paper to cool.
