1 cup margerine
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup (packed) brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup long thread coconut
Recipe
Cream margerine with both sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg. Add molasses and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Do not press down. These cookies spread quite a bit. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
Yield: 4 dozen cookies
