    3/4 cup fine dry bread (or soda crackers) crumbs
    2 tbsp. milk
    2 large eggs, fork beaten
    3/4 cup finely chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper

    1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef

    SAUCE:
    14 oz. canned crushed pineapple, with juice
    1 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup white vinegar
    3 tbsp. soy sauce

    1 tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tbsp. water

    Recipe



    Stir first 8 ingredients together well in bowl.

    Add ground beef. Mix well. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Place in 3 1/2 quart or 5 quart slow cooker.

    Sauce: Put first 4 ingredients into saucepan on medium. Stir. Bring to a boil.

    Stir cornstarch and water together in small cup. Stir into boiling mixture until slightly thickened. Pour over meatballs. Cover. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Makes about 36 meatballs.
