Root Beer Cake

Recipe Introduction


An old fashioned cake recipe made with mixes. This would be great for that next cookout and fun too. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.



List of Ingredients





4 eggs
1- 18 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix
3/4 cup root beer soft drink
1/3 cup oil
1 - 3 oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix


Recipe




Combine ingredients and mix well. Grease and flour two 9" cake pans. Divide batter and bake 350F. for 35-40 minutes. Cool on cake racks.
Glaze:

1/2 cup root beer
1 cup powdered sugar

Combine in saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer for 2 minutes. When glaze cools, pour over warm cake. Cover with plastic wrap and cool completely.

Frosting:

3 envelopes Dream Whip
replace root beer for milk

Whip and use as filling and frosting for cake. Split each layers to make four layers.
