Frozen Peppermint Cheese Cake

1 1/2 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. crushed hard peppermint candy
3 drops of red liquid food coloring
2 c. whipping cream, whipped
Garnishes: whipped cream, crushed and whole peppermint candy

Recipe



Combine wafer crumbs, sugar and melted butter; firmly press onto bottom and 1 inch up sides of a 9-inch springform pan. Chill beat cream cheese at speed with electric mixer until fluffy. Add condensed milk, 1 c. crushed candy and food coloring; beat well. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into prepared pan. Cover and freeze until firm. Garnish, if desired.
