Crockpot Roast Chicken

4 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 large roasting or frying chicken
1 chopped onion (large)Recipe
In small bowl, combine all the spices. Clean the cavity of the chicken, pat dry with paper towel. Rub the spice mixture into the chicken, both inside and out. Place in a resealable bag. Seal and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to cook, chop large onion and cover bottom of crockpot with onion. Add chicken on top of the onions and do not add any liquid. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Excellent. Not as spicy as you would expect.
