Christmas Hard Sauce

Recipe Introduction
This is an easy and festive Hard Sauce. It can be served on pound
cake, gingerbread, plum pudding or apple pie.
List of Ingredients
1 cup. lightly salted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tbl. heavy cream
3 tbl. rum or brandy
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg or mace
Recipe
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the cream,
rum or brandy and the vanilla. Beat for 1 minute. Sprinkle with the
nutmeg or mace.
Makes 2 cups
NOTE: If you use rum or brandy flavoring instead of liquor, reduce the
amount to 1-1/4 tsp.
