Recipe Introduction

I remember grandma bringing a white cake to the table after supper, and our eyes lighted up when she also brought this sauce to pour on top. Great on cakes, icecream, fruit cakes, and breadpudding.

List of Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil these ingredients: then add:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. margerine
dash of nutmeg
