Everyone's Favorite.....sugar Cookies

List of Ingredients

1-1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. margerine or butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Granulated sugar or colored sugar



Recipe

Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, almond extract, and egg in a large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients, except granulated sugar. Cover and refridgerate 2 hours.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets.

Divide dough in 1/2. Roll each 1/2 about 1/4 inch thick, on a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake 7-8 minutes or until the edges are light brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
