    This is a real easy dessert to make, and it is fast and light.

    List of Ingredients




    1 pkg. gelatin
    1/2 cup cold water
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1 tbsp. cornstarch
    3 egg yolks
    3 egg whites
    1 cup whipping cream
    1 angel food cake

    Caramel sauce:
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    8 tbsp. cream
    6 tbsp. butter

    Recipe



    Dissolve gelatin in cold water. Cook milk, cornstarch and egg yolks in double boiler until thick. Add dissolved gelatin and cool. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Fold egg whites into cooled mixture and then fold in beaten whipping cream. Slice angel food cake about 1 inch thick and put in layers in a flat 9x13 inch cake pan, using htis filling between layers and on top. Slice into serving pieces and pour warm carmel sauce over each piece.

    Caramel sauce: Boil ingredients given for the sauce very rapidly for 1 minute.
