    Recipe Introduction

It works well to decorate the box and scoop with melted chocolate or pudding. This recipe is especially great at a halloween party where the table is already decorated with plastic flies and other Halloween items.

    List of Ingredients

    Chocolate Ingredients:
    1/2 cup Honey
2/3 cup butter, margarine, or lard
    1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla or peppermint extract
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1/3 cup Cocoa powder
    Grape-nuts(tm) cereal

    Gingerbread Ingredients:
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup Molasses
2/3 cup butter or margarine, or lard
    1 egg
2 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
ginger, to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
    cinnamon (about 1/2 teaspoon)
    cloves (about 1/2 teaspoon)
    Grape-nuts(tm) cereal

    Mix-ins:
    coconut (to resemble worms)
    chocolate chips
    butterscotch chips
    peanut butter chips
spaghetti or ramen noodles, cooked (to resemble worms)
    corn
    peanuts
"puffy pastel things" -find at Chinese restaurants (to resemble styrofoam packing pellets)

    Recipe

    1. Microwave the honey until it bubbles; about one minute. Add the butter (or lard to make a more realistic texture and softer cookie) and the molasses. Add the egg and mix well. Then mix in all the other ingredients.

    2. Add mix-ins of your choice to some or all of the batter. Chill 1 hour in the freezer or several hours in the fridge.

    3. Roll dough logs of random length and then roll logs in Grape-nuts. Bake at 350 degrees until done (maybe 10 to 15 minutes).

Serve in a box on a bed of grapenuts, with a clean sand box shovel.
