    1 cup bran
    1 cup wheat germ
    2 cups boiling water
    1 cup oil
    2 cups granulated or brown sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    5 cups flour
    5 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tbsp. salt
    4 cups milk
    4 cups bran flakes
    1 1/2 cups raisins

    Recipe



    Stir together bran, wheat germ and boiling water. Set aside to cool. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Stir in bran mixture. Let sit for 24 hours before using. Spoon into well greased muffin tins and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Batter will keep up to a week in the fridge. Makes 4-5 dozen muffins.
