    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. stewed prune pulp
    2 Tbsp. prune juice
    1 tsp. cloves (or to taste)
    1 tsp. cinnamon (or to taste)

    Recipe




    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. sift dry ingredients together. Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture. Add prune juice and pulp. Bake in 2 greased and floured cake pans at 350°F. for 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Use your favorite cream cheese filling on this cake.
