List of Ingredients
4 pounds lean beef, cooked until tender, ground fine
2 pounds chopped or ground suet
6 pounds apples chopped fine
3 pounds seeded raisins
1 pound citron, ground
4 pounds brown sugar,
2 ground lemons, seeds discarded
1 pound currants
1/2 ounce powdered mace
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon alspice
2 tablespoons salt
Sweet cider for moistening
1/3 cup brandy Recipe
Add all ingredients together (except brandy) and cook for one hour. If brandy is desired, add now. Ready for pies, or seal in hot sterilized jars.
