Prize Winning Pecan Pie

1 envelope robin hood flaky or brodie xxxpie crust mix
1 cup pecan halves
2 eggs
2/3 cup granulated sugar
salt, pinch
1 cup corn, syrup
1/3 cup butter, meltedRecipe
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and prepare a 9 inch pie plate.
Prepare pastry according to instructions for unbaked 9 inch pie shell using half the dough (reserve remaining pastry for future use)
Spread pecans over pastry. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup and melted butter. Beat well. Pour over pecans. Bake on lower oven rack at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer or just until set. Cool.
