    Mushroom and Bacon Dip

    List of Ingredients


    8 slices bacon, cut into pieces
    1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced thin
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    1 envelope Lipton Onion (or Onion Mushroom) soup mix
    Salt and pepper to taste
    8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes and softened
    1/2 pint sour cream
    Assorted crackers or sliced bread

    Recipe

    In a large skillet, cook bacon. Remove from skillet when done and drain on paper towels. Remove all but 1 1/2 tablespoons of drippings from the pan.

    Add mushrooms and garlic to reserve drippings and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Add soup mix and stir to
    combine. Add cheese.

    Simmer, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and reserved bacon; heat through.

    Serve with crackers or sliced bread.
